Carl Brandt Iron Dog Award

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the USATF San Diego-Imperial Dirt Dog Cross Country Series. In celebration of this milestone, our USATF Association leadership is excited to introduce the “Carl Brandt Iron Dog Award”, which honors individuals who participate in every event of the Dirt Dog XC series throughout the season. This award symbolizes endurance, resilience, dedication, and perseverance—qualities that Carl Brandt exemplifies as a prominent figure in the San Diego running community for over five decades.

Carl Brandt, the founder and owner of Movin Shoes Running Store, has been a mentor and friend to many in our Running Community. 

To commemorate his contributions, the initials "CB" will be stitched onto the shirts of award recipients each year, ensuring that his legacy continues to inspire future generations of runners.
