President

Statement of Interest My name is Paul Greer and I am the current President for our San Diego-Imperial Association and would like to declare my interest in receiving a third term to help lead our organization through 2026. I am running with three other colleagues for officer positions, Tina Breen for Vice President, Nancy Morris for Secretary and Hunter Daniel for Treasurer and I hope you consider voting for the four of us on election day. Over the past two years, our Board of Birectors have worked to increase our association's visibility in the community through targeted programs such as hosting Association Track and Field Championships for Youth, Open and Masters along with the continued success of our Summer Nights Track & Field Series that just concluded its 15th year. There was another successful Youth Track and Field series of events along with a very successful Association and Regional Championships this past June. Over the next two years, my main objectives will be to increase effective communication between the Board of Directors and our USATF San Diego membership and fill many of the vacant positions that are still needing to be filled including our Track and Field Open Chair. Our Association has received awards at the National level these past two years distinguishing us as one of the finest Associations in the nation. All credit is due to the outstanding board members that I continue to serve under my capacity. I look forward to engaging all of our association members to help create our objectives and meet our goals. Furthermore, I would like to continue my efforts gaining better track and field facility access to both high schools and colleges in the greater San Diego area. Biography I grew up in San Diego where I graduated from Saint Augustine High School and competed for San Diego State University’s Track and Field program. Currently, I have the SDSU School Record in the 1500 meters at 3:42.44 and broke the 4-minute mile at 3:59.79. I competed at the 1992 US Olympic Trials in the 1500 meters. Currently, I am in my 39th year coaching the San Diego Track Club and I continue to serve the community as the series director for both the 24th USATF San Diego Dirt Dog Cross Country Series and the 15th USATF San Diego Summer Nights Track and Field Series. This past March I was selected to serve as the USA Coach for Men's U20 at the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships that took place in Belgrade, Serbia. My new book, "Going the Distance, Strategies from the First Stride to the Finished Line" was released earlier this year and is an Amazon best seller. Currently, I am a Professor of Health and Exercise Science at San Diego City College and have a passion for San Diego Track and Field/Long Distance Running community. I look forward to working with all of you in the future ahead

Vice President

Statement of Interest I wish to express my desire to continue serving as the Vice President of the San Diego-Imperial USATF Board of Directors. In addition to my current roles as Vice President, Membership and Clubs Chair, I am committed to enhancing communication between the board and members, aiming to set new goals for the forthcoming year and maintain our Association's reputation as a leader in the nation.  Biography I am a San Diego resident with a background in sports and fitness, holding a BA in Recreation and Physical Education from SDSU and possessing 32 years of experience as a YMCA Gymnastics Senior Program Director. My involvement in local and National YMCA & USAG Executive boards has equipped me with an understanding of National Governing Bodies and their significance within our Association. With my background as a gymnastics program director and passion for competitive running, I am certain that I can make a valuable contribution to the Board's initiatives through my managerial expertise.

Secretary

Statement of Interest My name is Nancy Morris and I am the current Secretary for our San Diego-Imperial Association. I am declaring my interest in running for this office for a third term to continue our Board’s work with my colleagues Paul Greer, President, Hunter Daniel, Treasurer and Tina Breen, Vice President. I look forward to continuing to work for and supporting our Association with continued achievements for all levels of our Running Community. Biography Since retiring from a nursing career, I have increased my time and support for the running community as an official, Race Director and participant. I have been a long-time runner and member of the San Diego Track Club for over 25 years. For the previous 10 years, I have been Captain of the SDTC Women’s Masters Team, supporting an outstanding Team. I have also been a National level USATF Track & Field Official for over 20 years supporting High School, University and Masters competitions. I would greatly appreciate your vote for me and our current Board as we continue a very successful agenda and increased visibility of running throughout the San Diego-Imperial community.

Treasurer

Statement of Interest My name is Hunter Daniel and I am the current Treasurer of the San Diego-Imperial Association. I am formally declaring my interest in earning a third term to help lead the organization. I am running with three colleagues for officer positions, Paul Greer for President, Tina Breen for Vice President and Nancy Morris for Secretary. I hope you consider voting for the four of us on election day. Over the past four years, it has been my pleasure to serve the association. We remain fiscally conversative and continue to maintain a balanced budget. During my tenure, we have increased funding by adding an additional source of revenue. We have also optimized our cash reserves to maximize our interest earnings while maintaining full FDIC coverage. Additionally, we have diversified our ability to send payments. The goal being to maximize our resources for the continued support of the association’s members. Biography I have over 9 years and counting of experience in the financial services industry. Specifically, private wealth management which has given me the opportunity to develop the skills required to plan and budget. I am a CFA Charterholder and Certified Financial Planner®. I compete on the Prado Racing Team (PRT) specializing in the 800m-5000m distances. I ran cross country and track at Humboldt State University.
