Association Championships Qualify Many for Olympic Trials

Many participants in the 2024 USATF SD-I T&F Championships and High Performance Meet (June 8, 2024) qualified for the USA Olympic Trials!

Meet Director, Rick Reaser, analyzed competitors who qualified for the USA Olympic Trials based on marks achieved at the meet.  Seven athletes, 3 women and 4 men, made it in based on their marks last Saturday as follows:

  • Danae Dyer - Women's 100m Hurdles
  • Trevor Stephenson - Men's Pole Vault 
  • Jacob Englar  - Men's Pole Vault 
  • Scott Toney - Men's Pole Vault  
  • Imani Oliver - Women's Triple Jump 
  • Jaimie Robinson - Women's Triple Jump 
  • Timothy White - Men's Triple Jump

In addition, twenty-two (22) athletes who competed at our meet also will be at the trials based on marks from other meets as follows:

  • Hailey Fune - Women's 100m Hurdles
  • Samuel Hartman - Men's 400m Hurdles
  • Brian Matthews - Men's 400m Hurdles
  • Sandi Morris - Women's Pole Vault
  • Ka'leila Abrille - Women's Pole Vault
  • Mackenzie Beukes - Women's Pole Vault
  • Olen Oates - Men's Pole Vault
  • Nathan Richartz - Men's Pole Vault
  • Cole Walsh - Men's Pole Vault
  • Monae Nichols - Women's Long Jump
  • Tiffany Flynn  - Women's Long Jump
  • Madisen Richards - Women's Long Jump
  • Jasmine Todd - Women's Long Jump
  • Kiana Davis - Women's Long Jump
  • Isaac Grimes - Men's Long Jump
  • Rayvon Grey - Men's Long Jump
  • Tori Franklin - Women's Triple Jump
  • Danylle Kurywchak - Women's Triple Jump
  • Alexis Ellis - Women's Triple Jump
  • Isaiah Griffith - Men's Triple Jump
  • Anthony Applequist - Men's Triple Jump
  • Chari Hawkins - Heptathlon
Twenty-eight of the 314 Athletes at the meet (9%) will be competing June 21-20 in Eugene for spots in the 2024 Paris Olympics!

Heptathlete Chari Hawkins competed in the Women’s 100 meter Hurdles, Shot Put and High Jump.  In this meet Chari ran a lifetime best of 12.95 (+1.8) in Women’s 100m Hurdles during the prelims which would have given her a ticket to the trials in that individual event as well.
